Built in 1905, the Yerba Buena Nursery Farmhouse boasts a beautiful Victorian Great Room with spectacular views of the surrounding coastal hills and landscape. This is where most Nursery events occur.
Originally a 3000 acre cattle ranch, owner Gerda Isenberg established a nursery there in 1960 out of love for the local California Native Plants. The nursery is the main business on the property today. Gerda was a pioneer in the movement to recognize the garden value of California natives, and a 2 acre Botanical Garden now provides many mature specimens of California Native Plants for the visitor to observe.
Workshops, Classes and Teas are held at Yerba Buena Nursery on a regular basis, usually occurring in the Fall and Spring. See the Yerba Buena Nursery website for further details on events, and for directions to the nursery.
