Description:
In 1980, flush with the success of their debut album, the band purchased a home in Mahopac. As bandmember Kate put it in a magazine interview in 1982, "We moved up here and bought a house together. It's in Mahopac which is right in the wilds. It's more of a creative retreat now. We're very isolated up there. It's full of retired people that want us to leave in case we drive the value of the property down."
