Description:
Reno has very little going for it. It's like Vegas, but without the soul, whimsy, and depleted sense of hope that keeps the shine on Vegas. Reno is, in a word, desperate. In two words, it is like hell, save for the existence of Sundance Bookstore very near the Truckee River. Without it, I might have become Reno-fied and might still be turning tricks somewhere by the bus station.
