Description:
I was having brunch with a big group of people at a restaurant in my neighborhood, and Abbie was our waitress. I'd seen her there a few times before and thought she was cute, so I ginned up the courage to ask her for her number and she gave it to me. We met up for drinks one Saturday night and we had a lot in common -- it turned out that the restaurant was just a side gig and she actually worked at the same university where I worked, in a different department, and actually knew some of my co-workers. So we went out a couple times, and I thought things were going pretty well; a few days after our second date (to go see "Ocean's 13") she went to South Carolina for a week-long business trip. I told her I'd give her a call when she got back, and I did, but she never called me back.
