Unbelievable but true, this sandy beach with its shallow sea is not choc a block crowded like most other beaches in August in Italy. It's a good place for kids, and you can even get an ice cream from the quad bike which wanders along the beach. But watch out for strong currents which can whip you out to sea when the sea is rough - and there are no lifeguards.
