It's entirely expected and cliche to say, but LA is insane. Two hours of traffic to travel just a few miles, fake breasts and broken dreams as far as the eye can see. But it's also incredibly sunny and nice to be on a bed again.
The drive in (before reaching the hell that is LA traffic) was unforgettable: beautiful surf and hills and a break at a park in Malibu that would have been perfect had it not corresponded exactly with when the two-year-old needed to have a breakdown.
