A symbol of Paris worldwide. 985' high rugged tracery of iron work. Commission from competition victory. A lot of people hang out and camp out on the lawn next to the tower during the summer months. I always liked to take a bottle of wine to Trocadero at about midnight to watch the Tower's lights go off for the night. There are some good museums not far from the Eiffel Tower. Musee Guimet and the Palais de Tokyo come to mind.
