We had coffee at a table out on the back patio of Lulu Carpenters while I suppressed my fear of the pigeons flapping all around us. He was reading Adbusters and he brought me Valhrona chocolate. We went for a walk along Walnut Avenue and he told me about his rollerblading mishap and his weekend plans to have dinner at Millenium in San Francisco. I knew immediately that I could marry this guy...and I did, 3 years later...!
