Description:
Built by the Mt. Tabor Street Railway Co. Opened (as a toll bridge) in January, 1891, replacing an existing ferry at Jefferson street. Sold to the City of Portland in November of the same year for $142,000. Eventually replaced by the current Hawthorne Bridge in 1910.
