Description:
Though many Bedfordite youth say "bagoda," they really can't be blamed. The Japanese themed folly that once graced the rocky shores of this semi-man-made lake is just a pile of rotting wood now. The term now refers to the lake itself which, with its proximity to the old railroad bed and Lane Elementary school (but no roads) makes it a popular destination for kids and those wishing to avoid road-bound vehicles like mom's van and police cars. Our entire third grade class once went swimming here and nearly got our young teacher fired. One of my favorite hideouts.
