Description:
My girlfriend and I lived on Alamo Square. Our friend Todd called us from Oakland, said to turn on the TV. I was working then in Mill Valley and had to go there in the afternoon. There were still rumors of planes in the air, still unaccounted for. I counted as I crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and kept telling myself that if I saw a plane coming, I'd have time to make it to the other side.
