Description:
My friend and I had illegally camped on the side of the road the night before we were going to visit Denali. In the morning we poached bathrooms at a restaurant and a mob of little old ladies told me "terrorists bombed new york!" I was physically dragged into the bar to see the TV and remember seeing footage of the plane crashing into the tower. I ran outside laughing to tell my friend - laughing was all I could do, it seemed so absurd. We did what anyone would do, took a 60 mile bus ride into the Alaskan outback.
