Description:
3/11/06 The Double Door -- They wear matching track suits! Who cannot love a band that wears matching track suits? NO ONE! That's who.
I gotta admit, I'd been waiting to see these fellas live for a long, long time and I lost a little love for these guys when they showed up on stage w/o the trademarked track suits, but they still managed to Bring The Fun in the form of Big Buckets O' Pop Rock Goodness. That is, there was dancing.
More specifically, there was a Designated Dancing Guy. DDG jumped on stage sportin' a suit and a funky dance style that kept everyone asking "umm, so like, is he WITH the band or what?" for the first few songs.
After DDG took off his tie and busted out his hidden prop sweat bands (hint: they were in the drum kit!) all questions were answered and DDD led the crowd in a raucous dance to The Hopefuls' hit single "Let's Go!"* and a good time was had by all.
That is until my car was illegally towed by the City of Chicago and I had to spend the next morning at the impound lot trying to get her out of hock. But that is another story for another MAP to be added.
* by "hit" I mean, it was played like, one time on an episode of the OC when Seth was at the HS coffee shop or something. It counts!
