Description:
The completed home features passive solar heating and cooling, daylighting, low-e windows, and a well insulated and air tight envelope. All the appliances are energy efficient and the lighting is all energy efficient florescent. Many of the construction materials are recycled or reused including maple flooring reused from an old gym floor, reused interior wood doors, reused brick floor, cellulose insulation from recycled newspaper, floor tile from recycled auto glass, carpet from recycled plastic bottles and reused lumber.
