Description:
Rev. Steve Stutz serves as pastor of a Lutheran parish in the process of renewal for the next generation of its ministry in southeast Texas. Steve began work there five years ago after having served a small town congregation in west Texas and before that being a commissioned office in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He holds an M.Div from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO and is currently a D.Min student with CLU.
Steve is a trained spiritual director under the auspices of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas and conducts parish missions on prayer, contemplative spirituality, the church’s healing ministry, while specializing in cultivating spiritual renewal in turn-around congregations. He is endorsed for chaplaincy work and was on contract with the VA for hospital work in his previous parish. He enjoys preaching, teaching, running, and having a good laugh. He is a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International and member of the American Legion. Steve and his wife, Krista have been married 18 yrs. and they have three teenaged daughters.
