Jamie was a girl I met through a couple friends of mine at Southern Progress Corp. We went out sporadically for a while and I could never quite figure out whether she was into me or not -- for instance, we went out on New Year's 2006 and had a good time, and I even kissed her afterward, but after that I could never get a follow-up date scheduled and I don't think I saw her for like two or three months. Finally, much later on in the year I told her straight out that I wanted to date her, and she said she just wanted to be friends. I still haven't quite figured out whether I just waited much too long to ask her, or whether she was never all that attracted to me in the first place.
