Lindsay joined a Democratic political campaign I was working for during the 2004 elections. A friend of mine who had gone to school with her told me that she was dating somebody, but it was a long-distance kind of thing and not necessarily serious. One evening after we'd made appearances at a couple fundraisers for some local candidates, we went back to my apartment and I kissed her, but she pretty much just sat there and didn't respond at all, so I let it drop. We never spoke of it again.
