Description:
There's something about Portland and shopping in bulk. When we go shopping, we want ALL of our options, right there in front of us. You can see it at Powell's City of Books downtown, in video form at Movie Madness, and as a thrift store at The Bins.

At The Bins (as people in Portland call the Goodwill Outlet Store), you pay $1.50 per pound of clothing you buy, and you make your selections by digging through big blue plastic bins full of unsorted clothing. The bins are on wheels, and every so often one of the old bins gets pulled out and a new one gets wheeled in from elsewhere in the building. If you're patient, you can discover some incredible things... or a whole bunch of crap, depending on the day.
