"When I was growing up in Richmond, I always heard stories about tunnels running under Capitol Square. Supposedly they connected the state Capitol building with the Govenor's Mansion, and even ran all the way to MCV. MCV students would even hide cadavers down there, if the old legends are to be believed.
Well, the tunnels are real, I've explored them. I have a pile of photos, I just can't post them on my website (for obvious reasons). They do connect the Capitol and the Govenor's Mansion, as well as a lot of other buildings in that area. And they DO run to MCV. Actually, I've seen the master tunnel map, and the tunnel network is VERY extensive. Security is tight, of course, including locked gates and security cameras. No cadavers though."
