Jamie was a friend of a neighbor of mine I went out with for a couple weeks. At one point she decided to move out of her ex-boyfriend's apartment (yes, I know, this should have been a sign) and into our building to share an apartment with my friend Melissa. I was out of town the weekend that she moved most of her stuff in, and when I got back I found out that she had started going out with another guy who had helped her move in the previous Saturday -- making this the second time in a matter of months that I got dumped in favor of a neighbor who had helped out with moving-related tasks. Consider my lesson learned.
